Our teachers are everyday heroes, inspiring, encouraging, and shaping the next generation. At Chico Striders, we believe they deserve a community that supports them just as they support our children.

Since launching our annual Back-to-School Teacher Drive in 2024, we've been on a mission to help local educators start the school year with the classroom supplies they need. We know that many teachers spend hundreds of dollars out of their own pockets each year to create engaging learning environments, and we want them to know they don't have to do it alone.

What began as a simple idea has grown into a community-wide effort:

• 2024: Fulfilled the wish lists of 19 teachers

• 2025: Fulfilled the wish lists of 35 teachers

• 2026: Fulfilled the wish lists of 37 teachers​

Together, we've provided more than $10,000 in classroom supplies to 91 local teachers, helping them create inspiring learning environments for thousands of students.

This impact would not be possible without the generosity of our community and the support of our partners, including InterWest Insurance, which matched employee donations, along with Bean Counting Firm and Upper Crust Bakery.

Together, we're doing more than filling wish lists—we're showing our teachers that their community values, appreciates, and stands behind them.
