Run Like a Hero
July 4th, 2026
Join us for a 4th of July celebration, the Run Like a Hero 5k presented by Chico Striders and Chico Running Club. Race proceeds benefit the Chico Striders Run Strong Scholarship presented to graduating high school senior student athletes. Our theme this year is Run Like a Hero- wear your favorite hero costume or best Independence Day attire!
Beat The Coach Mile

The Beat the Coach Mile is a thrilling 1-mile race designed to inspire athletes to train hard over the summer and earn ultimate bragging rights; "Beat the Coach!" As our athletes grow, we take pride in seeing them become stronger, faster, and eventually surpass their coaches.

This event brings together cross country teams from all levels—Elementary school to college—fostering connections within the running community and giving our young athletes the opportunity to experience the sport at different competitive levels.
